Ok so after complaining I figured the only way to shut up is to just run...so I did. I searched the house for my workout clothes, grabbed my inhaler and phone, left my husband a note and ran out the door.
I ran the 20(+) minutes which was about 2 miles down the one of the main roads by my house. Can I just say OUCH!!! I guess because it's been a while since I did any sort of exercise my whole body itched and I mean my entire body. I've gone longer without exercising and never experienced this before but I guess I just need to get out there and keep going. Now granted I didn't run the entire 2 miles however I'm pretty proud of myself for getting out there and doing it.
My schedule calls for running again tomorrow but since I screwed this week up I'll see how my legs feel and go from there.
~Ciao!

Day 1....FAIL!
So instead of doing the whole 20 MINUTESS of running yesterday my husband took me out for lunch and I pigged out. I pigged out so much that I couldn't run. I felt like I had a lead weight in me.
So here I sit the next day pissed at myself. My daughter has swim lessons today so while she is swimming for 30 minutes I will run for 20.
But really.... my first day and I fail???????

Back into training mode...
Monday, November 9, 2009Back into training mode...
Oh my, what have I done?
Why I have decided to train for the Shamrock Half Marathon!
In high school, I hated it. In college, I hated it. I decided never to run again.
Fast forward 10 years.
I decided to try C25K (couch to 5K) and realized that I loved to run! I ran a few races and was training for the Rock and Roll Half Marathon last year when the fire started in the Dismal Swamp. Unfortunately that caused my asthma to kick in and halted all running. Once time passed there just wasn't time in my life to do any sort of training. With working full time, going to school full time, and raising A by myself 95% of the time, there was no way I could fit in running.
I miss it. I really do. So I'm going to train for the race. As of right now I will not register for it as money is tight however as time gets closer I will be doing that too!
Wish me luck!
