Week 1 Day 1

Well I did it. I started the C25K program. C25K is short for "Couch-to-5K" and is a training plan to get you up to a level where you can run 5K (3 miles) after 9 weeks. They layout out each workout that you do. Here's some information about it. Couch-to-5K

Today was Week 1 Day and I did pretty well. My asthma is finally under control and I got the ok from my doctor to go for it :) I did learn that my Nike's are horrible shoes to run in. I'm going to try and stick it out for another week then buy a good pair of running shoes. I believe there is a running store around the tidewater area.

I hope this blog helps inspire more people out there as well as keep myself accountable :)

great job with your first C25k workout!! Definitely look into getting better shoes when you can. The difference is absolutely amazing and getting fitted at a specialty running store is a must. =)
